5/2/2018 The following true story is funny and upbeat with a happy ending but it's a bit crazy and sad as well. It involves a conscientious, soft-spoken, long-term customer, Jazzfest and the New Orleans Police Department. Read More.
3/15/2018 Brompton Build News Today, Brompton has announced that bikes built from this point forward will now have:
- A new Suspension Block with characteristics similar to the former firm suspension. It will replace both the Firm and Standard suspensions.
- Marathon Racer tires as standard equipment in place of the Brompton Kevlar tires (you can still custom order your bike with Schwalbe Marathons or Kojaks).
- Brake calipers have been redesigned with the same caliper now used for both front and rear.
- Front fender has been updated and is backwards compatible for use on older Bromptons.
3/9/18 Beer Ride Postponed Due To Tstorms Out of an abundance of caution, I'm postponing the bike ride planned for tomorrow. Although there's absolutely nothing on the radar, the weather service claims there's a 50% chance of thunderstorms. If we were just going to be out for an hour or two, I'd risk it but this was pretty much an all day event, with driving across Lake Pontchartrain plus the beer stops. Don't worry though. Lots of pretty weather between now and the heat of summer to make this happen :-)
2/27/2018 French Quarter Fest Fast Aproaching! It's the free jazz fest that takes place all around the New Orleans French Quarter and it's coming soon. You know you're going to want a rental bike to get around so don't wait. Contact us today to book your bicycle rental; it'll be here waiting for you when y'all arrive (see contact links below).
2/20/2018 Attention Brompton Owners: Our Brompton ride along the Tammany Trace rail trail on the New Orleans Northshore is coming up. There's no cost to join us and all bike riders are welcome, (you don't need to ride a Brompton; it's just more fun). To learn more, contact us today using the links below.
2/13/2018 Another crazy Mardi Gras is history! As usual, we had marchers and parade goers renting bicycles and adult trikes for the parades, causing us to run out for Chewbacchus, Muses, etc. So mark your calendars, gang and book your rental bikes WAYYY ahead so you'll be sure to have them for Mardi Gras 2019.
