That's right. Saturday June 9th is the 2012 date for New Orleans official Naked Bike Ride. The ride starts at 5pm at Markey Park in the Bywater. In general, participants pedal to the French Quarter and back with a police escort. It always draws a crowd.
Contrary to its name, you don't have to ride naked and the point is not about being lewd. Instead, the ride is a demonstration against the indecency of cars ravaging the environment and the toll of consumerism on society.
Of course, if you're a nudist, this is a good opportunity to express your 1st amendment rights because you'd likely be arrested riding in the buff any other day - even on Bourbon Street ;-)
